"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life." - Samuel Johnson.
Whenever I visit places like these, I remember saying, "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life." Samuel Johnson expressed this thought in 1777. He hated to spend time alone, and was always going out and enjoying what London had to offer.
Even today London offers so many different things, and everyone can find something interesting. I like visiting new places because there is always a chance you’ll meet new people. And meeting new people is something that I just adore.
Only two minutes from West India Quay DLR station on the quayside you will find The Bothy. Your everyday escape, as they like to say. This old warehouse looks like anything but an old warehouse now. Having been refurbished into a bar & restaurant, keeping all its original features, gives the space a comfortable, warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are two bars over two floors and lots of private booths for groups of people.
The Bothy is a part of a successful company called Drake&Morgan, which has restaurants all around the UK. Whenever you plan to visit them, make sure to have some Crispy Squid or Scotch Egg. Do not be shy to try my favourite Tuna Salad and other yummies from the menu. I guarantee you will be licking your fingers after you try the Chocolate Brownie.
