Book Review – June

Light Is The New Black by Rebecca Campbell is the book that I wish that each of my girlfriends would read. It has blown my mind and created a feeling of everlasting encouragement. I have read this book on two occasions, the first time reading this book caused me to pause, take a step back, breathe slowly and carry on walking and reading. I can’t describe to you the feeling that I felt when I looked through the pages of this book. I knew that this was one of the books that I needed more than anything in my life. This book has connected me to my inner self which had been lost, and I had to read it a second time to make sure I got it. And I will keep re-reading it.
Soon after finishing reading I craved for more spiritual connection and I started to follow Rebecca on her social media to find out more about her. Whilst looking at her social media I discovered that Rebbeca created her own Work Your Light Oracle Cards with amazing Danielle Noel, who is the creator of The Starchild Tarot. When Rebbeca and Danielle joint their powers, Work Your Light Oracle Cards were born and are my favourite since then. At this moment I knew that her words in her book had led me to a spiritual connection and more importantly to her fascinating cards.
If you ever feel like your life is crumbling away, you are lost, confused and not sure in which direction you are heading too, this book will blow your mind. Rebbeca talks about ‘the Age of Light’ in other words, and it’s coming to the time where everything in our lives must be an authentic expression of who we truly are.

Wow! Just wow. It feels like all these years we have tried to fit in, blend in and ultimately it will not work anymore. Because you are who you are. I have been ‘weird’ my whole life, I have been put in a box of social norms. But am I normal? What is normal? My friends would say, you are overthinking, you are weird, you need to relax, why act like this when you could act like that. But now, guess what I don’t feel bad about it and so what if I am weird. I know I am different and it’s nothing wrong with it. My soul is very very old, that’s why I come across very serious. I don’t like partying. I just went along with my friends and tried to fit in, be a part of it. But did this make me happy? Is this my true inner self?
This book made me want to hear my soul more. I want to listen to what my very very old soul wanted me to say and do, not what people think I should do.
I don’t want to disclose anything else about this book, but if you know me, know my energy, how I think, you know you should get this book for yourself. It will be the best gift for your soul.
